Backfire..

Mia has her own special cabinet and drawer where we store all her books, toys etc. So every time she's done playing with them, I'll show her that she needs to put them back exactly where she took it. When she's in a good mood, she'll be so rajin and put things back exactly where she took them i.e. books & toys goes inside the tv cabinet and plastic plates, bowls, spoons etc goes inside her kitchen drawer. But when she's malas, everything will be scattered everywhere..

So, I decided to 'threaten' her when she's malas by telling (and showing) her that I'll throw her things in the bin if she doesn't put them back after playing. It worked! Yay! She'll be crying and will start picking up and storing her stuffs..Well, not 100% effective but most of the time it worked..

However, this method started to backfire!! Here's our conversation last nite:

Mummy: "If you want mummy to switch on Monkey (dvd), you have to keep your toys first."
Mia: *paused while thinking of what to say* "Throw bin! Toys throw bin!"
Mummy: *dumbfounded*

Oh well... I tried!
