This morning, Mia woke up with blisters on her toes, knees and buttock.. My 1st reaction was; "what did she eat last nite ar?? allergic to something ka?". HFM didn't come across my mind at all because 2 weeks ago we went to see her paed (Dr T) cuz I thought she had HFM (her palms & fingers got tiny blisters & looked dry & was peeling; but since she was teething; Dr T said it's probably due to her extra saliva. She sucks her thumb so all the saliva got to her hand). There was no blisters anywhere else in the body.
So today, took her to Dr T again and I was really shocked when she told me Mia got HFM.. Had to tell my sis to monitor Destiny's condition - takut she kena jangkit cuz Mia had a play date with her on Sat & yesterday. I'm not sure where Mia got it from but the only place I could think of is her Taska. Sat (4/7) morning we went to the Taska to take her Report Card, Fri (3/7) & Thu (2/7) I sent her there too. We didn't go anywhere else except church last Sunday (28/6) & jalan2 in citymall last Monday (29/6).. i think... My brain macam mau meletup trying to recall what we did & where we went...
So now, both DH & I very2 worried. Dr T said there's nothing much we can do; just make sure she's properly hydrated, monitor & give medication for fever (if any) and use teething gel & throat spray if she's feeling pain due to ulcers in her mouth and make sure we do everything we can to ensure her immune system is boosted. I did some grocery shopping tonite while DH babysit Mia; I bought F&V juice, vitagen & soft drinks for Mia, lot's of soft food for her to eat.. I do hope the ulcers in her mouth will recover soon and not get worse.. 2mrw onwards, gonna grind the children multivit and nutribifidus (pro&prebiotic) and kasih masuk inside her juice. I hope she'll drink it..

Get well soon, Mia!
Indy also got this last year. the doc asked me to separate maya from Indy. I said how? we dont have any family here to help me take care of them ( or to stay wth grandparents). So pasrah la... I checked on Maya everyday and hope that if she will get it, better get it the same time as Indy else it will be harder for me to take care one after another.
Bt amazingly thanks to breastmilk Maya was not sick.
The doc was so amazed by that. :)
The amazing power of breastmilk :-) sometimes I wish Mia's still want to breasfeed.. At 8mths, she didn't want to breastfeed anymore.. I should've tried harder by giving her expressed breastmilk.. oh well, i learnt my mistake.. will do better with next baby in d future :-)
You sending Mia to taska ody? wow she's so independent already...Hope she gets well soon..
