How time flies *sigh*.. At 20mths (1 yr 8mths), Mia has dropped almost all the signs that she had learned. She still remembers how to sign though, but I guess she's figured out it's much easier to talk than to sign.
As of a few weeks ago, she's become one of those toddlers who rambles on and on and on.. Sometimes I just say "oh", "uhhu", "ya ka?", "what happen?".. Mia's also pretty vocal when it comes to getting her needs met.. If she wants something, she'll point and goes "This! This! This!" or "There..". When she doesn't want something, she goes "No! No! No!" or "Done! Done!"... "Put there","walk","read","up","down", "outside", "Open", "Upstairs" are some of here favorite command words..
Reading can get pretty 'interesting'.. She'll point at objects that she sees and asks "This?, this? this?" to everything she sees.. Bare in mind, she knows what those objects are cuz if I asked her, she would name the objects out loud perfectly. I have to buy 3-4 new books for her every month now! She learns fast! She no longer categorize all birds as Birds - she can now identify them based on species! 2 nites ago, hubby was reading to her and as he points to a picture of abird and said "Bird", Mia quickly corrected him and said "Toucan"!! *kobongut* trus my hubby... hahaha...
Mia can count up to ten (and she can also count backwards and count in Spanish!! - I give the credit to Dora), she can say the alphabets, she sings (or try to sing.. hehehe, it's so cute when she tries to sing the Mickey Mouse Club house theme song).
I bought her a book on Body Parts last week.. and she has already started using the new words that she had learnt. Last night, she was walking abt 'half naked' cuz i was potty training her then suddenly she said "eeih dirty, tonton dirty" cuz she peed.. I wonder if there's another better word to use to describe that body part??
