I've been here for about 6 days now. Wanted to blog about it much earlier but most of the IT people in the hotel are still on leave, so I've to tumpang internet connection. The current connection punya signal is very weak so can get disconnected anytime... bikin putung stim butul..
Well, I'm still trying to get used to the fact that I'm not in KK anymore and that I'm actually staying 'in house' inside a hotel apartment... 24/7 aircon.. not that I'm complaining ;-p
To answer friends and family's most common question;
*Our apartment is equipped with a kitchen - Fridge, Microwave, Rice Cooker etc and living room
*It's 'serviced' approx 2x a week (garbage is cleared every day though..)
*It's 'serviced' approx 2x a week (garbage is cleared every day though..)
*Laundry service is provided (just need to do the normal filing out the form & counting)
*We can use the pool and the gym (Clark Hatch oh...)
*There's 2 flat screen TVs (1 bedroom & 1 living room)
The best thing is, the hotel is situated just few minutes drive from Town Centre and Woodlands..
The island you see IS Singapore :-)
We bought a DVD player for Mia cuz there's no
Playhouse Disney in the hotel's program
Oh... ya, sometimes we eat at the hotel's F&B outlet; but honestly, we prefer eating home cooked meals. So, I would normally cook lunch and dinner.
My BIL (Walter) and his family drove down from KL on the 1st day of Raya and fetched Mia and I from the Airport on 21 Sep. In the evening, we celebrated Raya at DH's cousin's hse (Agnesia). It didn't feel like we're in JB at all! All the saudara2 from KK was there.. Most of them migrated to KL, some are here on holiday. It's was a pleasant family reunion. Mia enjoyed herself; playing with her cousins who are around the same age as her.
I drove to the nearest kedai runcit last nite with Mia. When I say near; i meant it! I could see the hotel port cochere from the kedai.. hehehe. Oh well, it's a start right?? Last Wed, DH drove us to the end of the map (where Jaya Jusco & Tesco is located). He told me he's terrified with the word 'WOODLANDS' on the road signage after hearing Ben's story. Apparantly, Ben (who is also Sabahan) got lost driving in JB and ended up entering Singapore via Woodlands and didn't carry his passport with him. He was unable to do a 'U' turn and had to drive thru Spore immigration and was fined while entering and exiting...
So, we promised to carry our passports everytime we drive out of the hotel.. Just in case ;-p
