Mia @ 22mths

Updates on Mia's behavior & intellectual development;

1. She insists to keep so many things inside her crib when she naps/sleeps
I'm a pretty forgetful mummy, so what I did to overcome this; I have a few 'duplicates' of certain items i.e. blankies, sticker books, crayons, writing boards, potty etc. I'll have the same items upstairs and downstairs (of the house), and same items in her red and blue diaper bags which is kept in my car and DH's car. The weird thing is, Mia started taking some of these duplicated items with her when she goes to bed.. So nowadays, inside her crib u'll see 2-3 blankies, 2 pillows, mickey mouse doll , blanket etc. If I don't hide her other stuffs, I'm sure all of it will end up inside her crib!!

Translation (based on Parent.com) : 'I'm scared'

Oohh.. patutla! It makes sense! most of the things that she keeps inside her crib are 'comfort' items kan.. poor baby.. how la want to transfer her to her own room ni..

2. Humour
Who would of thought a 22mth old would have a sense of humour.. We taught her to say "Please, love so much" whenever she wants us to do something for her i.e. make her nenen, give her juice, read her a book etc.. We'd say, "What do u say when u want something" and then she'll say "Please, love so much!".. Nowadays, she'd 'delay' saying the please sentence.. then after few seconds, she'll say "Please, love so much" and starts laughing and she'd say "funny" a few times while laughing.. It must be funny to see our eagerly waiting faces??

3. Creative
A potty is a potty right? A cup is a cup right? But to my 22mth old, a potty can also be a hat, a crown, a shoe... A hair brush can also be used to brush her teeth, mummy's teeth and to sweep the floor.. hahahah

4. Problem Solving
I normally leave our sliding door open to let cool air pass through the house, but the grill is locked at all times. But I have to make sure our slippers and shoes are kept further away from the grill or kept inside the shoe rack outside. Otherwise, she'll use her feet to 'juluk' the slippers/shoes and all these will end up inside the house!

5. Singing
Mia loves to sing! Unfortunately her vocal chords are still developing. She loves to sing the opening & closing themes of cartoons shows, nursery rhymes etc.. For now, what we hear is.. "Iti biti i-der, hmhmhmhm spout, nnnnnnn rain, mmmmm out, out nnnnnn sun, nnnnn rain, nnnn iti biti i-der, hmhmhm a-gain! YEAH!" while clapping :-) She'll do the signs for 'spider, rain, sun, out' while singing oso.
